Coaching is a Professional-Client relationship that is designed to facilitate positive personal development, transformation, and well-being.

Chris Cherrie is a Coach that adheres to the International Coaching Federation's Code of Ethics as outlined here.

Chris Cherrie is not a therapist or licensed health care provider. He does not provide medical advice, engage in patient diagnosis, or practice therapy. Coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association and Canadian Psychiatric Association. Coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy or substance abuse treatment and clients will not use it in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. For clients who are currently receiving psychiatric care for mental illness, consulting with their caregiver to ensure working with a coach is in their best interest at this time is required.

Coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve all areas of life, including work, finances, health, relationships, sex, education, and recreation. Deciding how to handle these issues, incorporating coaching into those areas, and implementing action are exclusively the client’s responsibility. Clients are fully responsible for their physical, mental, and emotional well-being during coaching sessions, including their choices and decisions.

Coaching is not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical, financial, business or other qualified professionals. The client will seek independent professional guidance for legal, medical, financial, business or other matters. All decisions in these areas are exclusively the clients and their sole responsibility.

Information will be held as confidential unless stated otherwise, in writing, except as required by law. For information that involves physically hurting oneself or others, the coach must report such information and/or refer to mental health professionals accordingly.
